Availability schedules let you specify when you’re available to receive bookings. You can customise your availability for individual offers or clients.

Creating schedules

Before clients can book sessions, you need to tell Satori when you’re available to meet. Satori includes a graphical availability schedule which makes it easy to visualise your availability on a week by week basis, and make customisations as needed.

To create a one-off availability period:

  1. Place your mouse cursor over the graphical availability calendar and drag open a new period. For example, to create an availability period from 9AM to 12PM, press your mouse down at the 9AM slot, and drag your cursor down to 12PM before releasing. This is similar to creating a new calendar event in iCal.
  2. Click the Save button on the period popover.

To create a repeating availability schedule:

  1. Place your mouse cursor over the graphical availability calendar and drag open a new period. For example, to create an availability period from 9AM to 12PM, press your mouse down at the 9AM slot, and drag your cursor down to 12PM before releasing. This is similar to creating a new calendar event in iCal.
  2. On the period popover that appears, select Repeating from the When field.
  3. Select the days and weeks on which you want this period to repeat.
  4. Click the Save button on the period popover.

You can make adjustments to your schedule after you’ve created it by resizeing or repositioning the periods (or deleting the periods).

Availability types

If necessassary, you can break up your availability schedule in to multiple segments or types. This is useful if you need to divide your schedule up between multiple locations, or offer different services at different times of the day or week.

By default, your Satori account contains a single availabiltiy type called All Sessions, but you can create your own types and name them appropriately for your practice.

Note: there’s nothing magical about the All Sessions type. It doesn’t necessarily apply to all sessions unless you select it for the corresponding offers.

You can divide your availability periods between various types and decide which availability types will apply to which offers.

To create a new availability type:

  1. Click on the New Availability Type button.
  2. Enter a name for your new availability type.
  3. Press Return on your keyboard.

Applying schedules to offers

The availability you enter is only offered to clients when you explicitly apply it to particular offers.

To apply your availability schedule to your offer:

  1. Check the checkbox for each availability type that should apply.
  2. Click Save and Continue.

Timezone conversion

Satori automatically picks up your timezone from your computer’s settings. Whatever timezone you have selected in your system’s time and location settings, will be used in Satori as well.

When clients land on your booking page to book sessions, Satori detects their timezone as well, and automatically makes the necessary adjustments to translate your schedule into their local timezone.
