Satori supports one-off payments as well as highly customisable, recurring billing options.

Billing structure types

Free

Use this option for free consultations or general appointments that you don’t intend to bill for (or that you’re billing for separately). When you choose this option, your offer will display as FREE on the offer landing page, and the payment step is omited.

Single payment

Choose this option when you want clients to make a single payment on your offer at the time of booking.

Monthly payments

Choose this option when you want to offer clients the option to pay for your program in monthly installments. You can specify how many installments are due in the Number of Months field.

You can also choose to add an Establishment Fee. This is an extra charge that is added (in a separate line item) to the initial invoice. This is useful if you want to bill for additional set-up or materials, or collect a deposit up front.

When you use a monthly billing schedule, Satori will ask your client to pay the initial installment at the time of booking, and will schedule invoices for the remaining payments to be sent out to your client on a monthly interval. Your client can pay these invoices online using a PayPal account or credit card.

Custom schedules

Custom Schedules are similar to monthly scheduels except you can change the frequency of billing to suite your needs. For example, you could bill your clients on a bi-weekly, or quarterly basis. Choose this option when you want to create a periodical billing schedule with an arbitrary cycle length.

As with the monthly structure, you can specify the Number of Cycles (i.e. the number of times your client will be invoiced for this program); but unlike the monthly structure, you can set an arbitrary length for these cycles (like 2 weeks or 5 days or 3 months). You can also choose to vary the length of the first cycle.

Payment options & discounts

For Monthly and Custom billing schedules, you can also choose to offer a Prepay Discount. This is a flat amount that will be deducted from the offer total if your client chooses to pay for the entire program in advance, rather than on the periodical schedule. This is useful for providing clients with an incentive to pay for their full program in advance which is obviously beneficial for your cash flow.

Customising invoices

When you select any of the billing structure options, Satori displays some additional fields that you can use to customise the language used on the invoices Satori will generate when clients buy your offer. You will typically want to enter a brief description of the services that your client is booking. For example Coaching Sessions, Training Sessions etc. (as the case may be).

You can also enter a personal memo to your client.

PayPal account details

If you’re creating paid offers with any kind of billing schedule, be sure to enter your PayPal Account Email addressin the billing structure form. Satori uses this to connect your offer to your PayPal account so you can receive payments. This field is required if you want to accept payments through Satori.
