Satori displays your personal avatar in several places such as on your booking page, agreement proposals, questionnaires and in client email notifications. This helps to make your client-facing pages and emails feel more personal and consistent with your brand.
Satori finds your avatar image automatically via Gravatar. Gravatar (“globally recognized avatars”) is a free service you can use to create a standard profile image that can be used on 3rd party sites. It’s built into a lot of popular sites like WordPress and Disqus, so if you own a WordPress blog, you probably have a Gravatar account already.
If you don’t yet have a Gravatar account, you’ll need to create one to add your avatar to Satori (it’s Free).
If you already have a Gravatar account, and you want to change the avatar image you use with Satori, you’ll need to configure it through Gravatar.
To configure your Gravatar:
- First, you’ll need to create a free Gravatar account, if you don’t already have one. Just sign-up at Gravatar.com and follow the instructions.
- Upload the profile image you want to use to Gravatar and associate it with the relevant email address (the one you use to sign into Satori).
- Use the Gravatar checker to make sure your Gravatar is configured correctly.
Troubleshooting
I have a Gravatar, but it’s not showing up in Satori
You can manage multiple email addresses through a single Gravatar account. If you’ve created a Gravatar but it’s not showing up in your Satori account, the most likely reason is that the email address for your Gravatar does not match your Satori login.
To fix that, just add your Satori login email address to your existing Gravatar account, and make sure the correct profile image is associated with that email address.
Gravatar provides a checker tool that you can use to verify that everything is set up correctly.
